Why Choose Emery Ranch for Dog Boarding
The same two people, every day
Cheyenne and Chelsea personally oversee every dog — not a rotating kennel shift. Your dog arrives to familiar faces and leaves to them too. That consistency is the foundation of a stress-free stay.
Countryside, not a concrete run
Commercial kennels amplify anxiety — small crates, echoing barks, constant stimulation. Here, dogs decompress on 40 open acres. Fresh air, real movement, a working farm rhythm. The environment does more than any protocol.
Trainer expertise, not kennel staffing
Cheyenne is an active Dog Training Elite trainer with working-line GSD and Lab experience. Your dog can simply board — or we can use the time to reinforce and advance their training. No other Central Florida boarding program offers this.
Why dogs return calmer from a farm stay than a kennel stay
Most dogs board in a building. Barking echoes down corridors. A dog in the next crate triggers constant reactive stress. Many come home more wound-up than when they left. At Emery Ranch, open space does the work — 40 acres quiets anxious dogs faster than any structured protocol. It's not a selling point. It's the reason it works.

Boarding FAQ
How far is Emery Ranch from Orlando?
About 45 minutes northwest — in Umatilla, FL (Lake County). We have two drop-off locations: the Umatilla farm, or Dog Training Elite Orlando (622 Virginia Dr, Orlando, FL 32803). The Orlando drop-off has a $25 transport fee — we bring your dog to the farm. Pickup is from the Umatilla farm by appointment.
How much does dog boarding cost?
Standard boarding (AC indoor/outdoor kennel run) is $100 per night. Fine Tune Training & Boarding — where Cheyenne works structured sessions into your dog's stay — is $150 per night. A 7% Florida state and Lake County tax applies at checkout. Orlando pickup is a $25 one-time add-on.
Can my dog board on a raw diet?
Yes, fully. Bring your dog's food supply and any feeding instructions — we follow your protocol exactly, including raw patties, frozen raw, or prey model. Don't switch their diet for the stay.
Is training included, or is that separate?
Standard boarding includes a structured daily routine and supervised exercise — not formal training. If you want sessions, choose the Fine Tune Training & Boarding package. Cheyenne is an active Dog Training Elite trainer; this is genuine professional training, not a add-on you'd find at a standard kennel.
Do you accept dogs with medical conditions?
Yes. Note all conditions, medications, dosages, and timing in the booking form. We administer medications and follow feeding restrictions. For complex medical cases, contact us before booking so we can confirm we're the right fit.
What vaccinations are required?
Rabies, Distemper/Parvo (DA2PP), and Bordetella (kennel cough) — all current. Make sure your dog is up to date before drop-off.
